Young photographer Arno Brignon accepted the opportunity to throw himself into the adventure of territorial residencies. For two months he went to meet the people of the Couserans, offering to take a different look at their past, their scenery and their day to day life. This publication, that mixes amateur photography with the artists own work, is the record of the encounter between the photographer and the region’s inhabitants. Veiled and unveiled portraits, fractures and gashes, given or hidden landscapes, each photograph pays an emotional tribute to those who have accepted to be swept away by the artist. About the Artist
Arno Brignon was born in 1976 in Paris. He lives in Toulouse. In 2010, graduated from the ETPA (Gd Prix du Jury), he left his job as an educator in deprived neighbourhoods to devote himself entirely to photography. He then articulates his work between residences, exhibitions, teaching and personal research. He also works for the press and joined the agency Signatures, Maison de photographes in 2013.
