When you look at Alain Laboile’s pictures for the first time, many references arise though no other photos looks like his.
This is probably the strange paradox that describes best the photographer. There is something in him of Sally Mann or a Danny Lyon but these photos are really his and cannot be related to anybody else.

The Zine Collection is a prestigious collection of short photographic works, which contains 40 pages including the cover. The usual format will be of a maximum of 34 photographs.
About the Artist
Born on May 1, 1968 in Bordeaux, France, Alain Laboile is a photographer and father of six. In 2004, as he needed to put together a portfolio of his work as a sculptor, he acquired a camera, and thus developped a taste for macrophotography, spurred by his passion for entomology. Later on, he pointed his lens towards his growing family which became his major subject : a life on the edge of the world, where intemporality and the universality of childhood meet.
