This Desolate Land’s Portraits investigates the everyday, a psychological representation of the uncertainty within the current economic crisis. The photographs are produced and located within the limits of the N11 road, which connects the rural topography of County Wexford to the suburban edges of Dublin and finally Dublin city centre. This sub-series only involves the portraits from the aforementioned series, which evoke a sense of place both intimate and uncertain. The series as a whole is a constant reminder that land is not simply a commodity for development and exploitation.
