Aftermath is defined as ‘the consequences or after-effects of a significant unpleasant event.’ We are in a period of Aftermath. The Aftermath of a global pandemic such as COVID-19 constituted a worldwide lockdown. The Aftermath of climate change and the possibility of humanity becoming extinct if we don’t act now. The Aftermath of civil unrest in various parts of the world, and the list goes on. For issue 2, No! Wahala invited African Photographers to explore the theme ‘Aftermath’ by submitting a body of work that represented the after-effects of a significant event.
This issue features projects from 9 African Photographers including Oke Oluwasegun, Leila Bakouche, Issam Larkat, Kairu Phillip Peter, Hiba Zouane, Liasmine Fodil, Amine Machitouen, David Exodus and Eyoeal Kefyalew.

About the Editor
Anne Nwakalor (Alagbe) is a British-Nigerian Photo Editor and Communication Expert based between Manchester, UK and Abuja, Nigeria. She is the Founding Editor of one of Africa’s first contemporary photography magazine; No! Wahala Magazine, which is a print photography magazine championing authentic visual stories told by African creatives. Her practice developed whilst studying a BA in Photojournalism and Documentary photography at the ‘University Of The Arts London’. Her interests revolve around representation, bereavement and elitism within the art world alongside a range of other topics.

About the Magazine
No! Wahala Magazine is one of Africa’s first contemporary photography magazines championing authentic visual stories by African Creatives. The aim of this magazine is to showcase important visual stories told by African talents on and from the continent and get them seen by industry professionals. It is also a platform where Creatives can learn, be inspired, network, and better their visual storytelling skills whilst serving as a safe space where photographers can share their wins and the difficulties faced within the photography industry.
