Rag and Bone documents the working life of George Norris, a 19-year-old rag and bone man, who is following in the footsteps of generations before him.

About the Artist

Russel Boyce worked at Reuters for over twenty years, first as an international news photographer based in London covering news and sport around the globe, then as Chief Photographer in Asia, shaping the news coverage of a diverse region. Back in London, he managed ‘The Wider Image’, co-ordinating and mentoring photographers globally to produce in-depth long form visual stories, at the same time driving picture content on Reuters Instagram and Twitter feeds. Finally, I managed the Middle East and Africa, managing photographers and pursuing sensitive news coverage of a turbulent and often dangerous region.

About the Publisher

Café Royal Books (founded 2005) is an independent publisher based in Southport, England. Originally set up as a way to disseminate art, in multiple, affordably, quickly, and internationally while not relying on ‘the gallery’. Café Royal Books publishes artist’s books and zines as well as a weekly series of photobook/zines. The photographic publications are part of a long ongoing series, generally working with photographers and their archives, to publish work, which usually falls into 1970–2000 UK documentary / reportage.
