Second edition of this design festival, which this year has as its theme the relationship between design and food and, more specifically, the impact of the graphic designer’s work on consumers through shelves, food brands and  packaging .

In this new installment, the focus will be on graphic design and its relationship with the food industry with the contributions of Enric Aguilera, Lavernia and Cienfuegos, Laura Fernández, Wences Sanz, Atipus and Eva Minguella. «The shelf is one of the spaces where design can have a strategic value for companies and a particularly important role for consumers. This is something that interests us a lot and where we see a great critical lack. We hope that the event will serve to generate new points of view and a more thoughtful approach to the profession in this field”, comments Guillermo Rubio, one of the promoters of D-Day.

The packaging will be the protagonist of the day. Within the broad scope of food, the event marks a somewhat smaller preserve according to Julián Garnés, another of the organizers. We love the term “shelf design”. We like to think that design is not something linked to luxury or gourmet and this approach is going to be very present in this edition of D-Day, both because of the choice of speakers and because of the way of approaching the issues.

Día D proposes a monothematic day that brings together the most relevant professionals in the sector around a field of action. An independently organized event by designers for anyone with an interest in design.
