Mark Steinnmetz’s book Philip & Micheline documents the end of life as experienced by his parents. Steinmetz uses his camera to share the moments he has witnessed, from which viewers find an intimate portrait of a family’s loss. Perhaps some of the most personal images Steinmetz has published, this photobook is the product of the artist’s documentation of his parents over the course of ten years as they age, love and eventually leave. This book acts as much as loving memorial and tribute as it does artist book.
