Nazar is the catalogue to the 11th edition of the photo festival Noorderlicht. Contemporary Arab and Western photographers show their vision on the Arab world; personal views of politics, religion, culture, and daily life. An overview of historical photography from the first half of the previous century was facilitated by Arab and Western archives and museums.

About the Publisher
Under the name Aurora Borealis, Noorderlicht is responsible for the publication of high-quality, bi-lingual catalogues and photo books. These publications stand out for the quality of the printing, design and visual originality. In their content they richly supplement the exhibitions from which they arise, but they are equally able to stand on their own. In part because of this, the publications by Aurora Borealis have acquired a strong international reputation.

Founded in 1976, Idea Books is a specialist wholesaler and distributor of the latest books, magazines, exhibition catalogues, and more on architecture, art, photography, design, fashion, and film.
