Mieldeabeja or ‘honeybee’ is a photobook which consolidates various projects of María Sánchez’s from over the course of many years. This photobook was created to accompany the exhibition of the same name by María Sánchez at La Kursala in Cadíz in 2014. Sánchez’s work is concerned with humour, mental image and the corporeality of the photograph as seen through the human body. As a result, her works are often staged and manipulated by the photographer herself.
