“Don’t be afraid of the clocks, they are our time, the time has been so generous to us. We imprinted time with the sweet taste of victory. We conquered fate by meeting at a certain time in a certain space. We are a product of the time, therefore we give back credit where it is due: time. We are synchronised, now forever. I love you.” –  Félix González Torres on Untitled (Perfect Lovers)

In Foucault’s Of Other Spaces: Utopias and Heterotopias he discusses how space is not just; we do not land into fully formed homes, cultures and environments; space is curated through time, intervention and historicity.

The object of INTIMATE was to engage with queer intimacy and lack thereof. Through interview and candid photography, INTIMATE aims to deconstruct the ‘objective queerness’; framing queer space outside of whitewashing, body conformity and oversexualisation.

This project is made up of eight interviews and nine people, interviewed with twenty curated questions, photographed in synchronicity. Accessing queer intimacy through language, body and location.
