This artists’ publication was created by Kate O’Shea and Dr. Ciaran Smyth in 2022 as a collaborative project in the form of a newspaper to discuss topics such as the personal versus the political, radical friendship, the entropic drift of capitalism and publishing, printmaking and hospitality as a force to re-write capitalist modes of exchange that produce ‘collective experiences of the otherwise’.
About the Authors
Kate O’ Shea is an artist with a social practice which includes printmaking, the production of ‘social spaces’ and publishing. Kate is currently co-producing Art Architecture Activism with Eve Olney in Cork. She recently published the book Durty Words with graphic designer Victoria Brunetta. Kate has just completed an MA by Research in Printmaking as a space for solidarity and dialogue at Limerick School of Art and Design.

Dr. Ciaran Smyth is an artist, writer, researcher and co-founder of Vagabond Reviews, an interdisciplinary platform combining socially engaged art and research practice. Vagabond Reviews engages broader publics in alternative forms of cultural participation and knowledge production.
