England 1970 – 1990: Work & Play is a collection of street photography and documentary images in England from the 1970 – 1990s by Trevor Ashby.
About the Artist
Having trained as a painter, Ashby travelled overland to India forty years ago without a camera. During the two years Ashby stayed there, he became increasingly aware that he was constantly framing images in my mind. On his return to England ‘I bought an old SLR camera and there started a lifetime’s passion for photography and the photographic image’.
