In her recent project Colorless Days, St Petersburg-based photographer Tatyana Palyga, 31, documents the everyday routine of the sales department of a soft drink factory in the city. “I spent eight hours five days a week at the office,” says Palyga. “Every day was the same. I hated that absurd atmosphere where people did things they didn’t really care about. All the surroundings — furniture, office machines, working places, walls, even light, made the atmosphere even more strange and depressing.” Here perhaps is final evidence for that well-worn saying: you don’t have to be mad to work here, but it helps.
