Bidean is a Basque word that refers to something or someone that is in the process of or on the path to; it symbolises the transition from adolescence to adulthood, searching for parallels between the ephemeral stages of life and the unstable cycles of nature. This publication by Miren Pastor was part of the exhibition Bidean, curated by Semíramis González, at Galería Gema Llamazares, Gijón (Spain), 2014. About the Artist
Miren Pastor is a Spanish artist and photographer. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country and she has been assistant of artists such as Christian Patterson, Cristina Iglesias, Daniel Canogar and Roberto Coromina. She currently lives between Madrid and Lekeitio. She is passionate about the photobook, she organises Fiebre Photobook Festival.
