Wish Tree published along side an exhibition at The Empire Project, aims to shake our beliefs and patterns that we hold tightly. Based on his self-directed determinations, Türkkan reflects the intercultural codes that we are afraid to talk about in life and that touch the stereotypes of human identity, with the frames he takes from daily life with tweezers. Examining sexual identity and body politics by drawing on her own past and social analysis, the artist presents three different photography series together in her new exhibition. Collected under the title of ‘Wish Tree’, the series brings the audience together with cultures, customs, beliefs and stances from different countries.
