This small booklet is a part of the Time to Meet series, as a part of The Second Act Festival. This edition is a small visual essay on Lacan and his Mirror Stage theory in relation to art performance.
About the Author
Ohad Ben Shimon (b. 1978, Haifa) is an artist, researcher and educator with a background in cognitive sciences, psychology, cultural analysis, international business education and art. He is currently PhD candidate at the Research Institute for Cultural Inquiry (ICON) of the Faculty of Humanities at Utrecht University, Senior Lecturer of Critical Thinking/ Researcher of Change Management at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and Guest Resident at The Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten. His current PhD research focuses on the role of embodiment in knowledge-based organisations and is funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO) Doctoral Grant for Educators.

About the Festival
The Second Act was a four-day festival initiated by the international artist platform Time to Meet and curated by Chris Clarke. The festival brought together the work of more than forty artists in an extensive exhibition and a lively program of performance, film screenings and debate spread throughout the Brakke Grond building.
