The Great Drought is a circular, imaginary perambulation through the city of São Paulo, from the historic centre towards its edges and back, assembled from juxtapositions that reveal a self-devouring city in constant mutation. The book is a photographic exploration into the generic, global city, suspended between its physical presence and its image.
