School Daze is a reminder of life at a school. A school building that was dismantled a year ago. A tribute to students and employees who have spent an important part of their days there for years. Arjen Ronner worked for a long time in education: a world where everyone has their own memory. He also works as a photographer. At the end of his educational career he has made a photographic representation of that special, sometimes bewildering world. The photos are accompanied by a column by writer and editor Dirk Vis, in which he describes the images as solidified moments from the endless school time experienced by students.
About the Artist
Arjen Ronner is a Dutch photographer and sociologist. His work from the mid 1990s focuses on the changes experienced by the small community of Tory Island in Donegal, Ireland. People, environment and nature are central to his assignments and photo publications.
