This object is one of Masahito Yamamoto’s artist-book-veering-into-art-object creations. It takes the same form as his book with feathers, which contains feathers inside the smaller plastic box instead of a dead fly. The book within has a plain cover with How to live on the earth printed on it and its insides have the series of prime numbers from 3 to 127657 printed within in very small numbers.
Description of Form
Hardcover box with spine opening. Inside is a deceased fly lying inside a plastic box with a window, attached to the containing box. A book lies inside the containing box, with the fly’s box fitting inside the book, where a rectangular hole has been cut to fit the box containing fly.

Masahito Yamamoto is an artist, publisher and photographer born in Kochi, Japan. He lives and works in Tokyo.
