The catalogue for exhibition Daily Life is a visual story of everyday life in Lithuania, where on the horizon for the past fifty years, more and more new things, actualities, spirits and tonalities were appearing. During this period, three generations of photographers were formed. Each of these generations distinguished by its topics, their special manner, but they always show the actualities of their time. Our whole life consists of daily things. In daily life everything is understandable and becomes unnoticeable because of this, but still very important. The exhibition catalogue presents works of such Lithuanian photographers as: Romualdas Požerskis, Algirdas Šeškus, Vitas Luckus, Arturas Valiauga, Mindaugas Kavaliauskas, Aleksandras Macijauskas, Donatas Stankevičius, Antanas Sutkus, Gintaras Česonis, Algimantas Kunčius and Romualdas Rakauskas.

Each of the sixteen photographers presented in this publication observe and capture the signs of daily routine which are constantly being changed, replaced and erased. In the transformation of daily routine the concept we create is merely an abstraction just as the mentioned generations of photographers, each of which is heterogeneous, diverse in sensibility, insights and experiences of one’s own world.
