This photobook is based around the Gran Vía, Madrid. It’s name comes from the nickname for the Gran Vía, coming from the 155m caliber shells which were shot at the road during the Siege of Madrid. The Gran Vía was designed at the end of the 19th century and its construction lasted until the middle of the 20th century, welcoming new architectural projects and becoming an exhibition of all styles. This avenue, born from the demolition of old streets ‘of all life’, linked the center of Madrid with the new neighbourhoods.
