In Remembering the Future, Barcelona-based Angel Albarrán (b. 1969) and Anna Cabrera (b. 1969) experiment with personally developed technique: printing photographs with pigments on thin Japanese paper, which is then placed over gold leaf. The final result – a very unique, almost magic touch of warmth which unites quality and tradition under the same cover. For many years duo has been inspired by Japanese photographer Masao Yamamoto and travelled to his country of origin in search for inspiration.
