About the Artist
Gözde Mimiko Türkkan (b. 1984, Ankara) is a Turkish photographer, artist, living and working in Istanbul. In addition to producing various photography series, Türkkan also makes use of artist books, text-based works and videos. Her work focuses on sexual identity, role and identities shaped by society, with a documentary-like subjective approach to people’s deepest wishes, desires and fears.
