This publication is a catalogue for the 2020 Landskrona Fotofestival, the seventh edition. The most important photo festival in Scandinavia has made an international impact. The city centre was filled with more than twenty exhibitions of fifty photographers, from world-famous names such as Susan Meiselas and the collective Project Pressure to young photographers who are not yet established. With a new artistic director, London-based Monica Allende, the festival is taking a new direction. The visitor is invited on a journey in time and space, through the city’s public places and environments. The 2020 festival’s theme was The Architecture of Memory, and its ambition to repeat the success of previous years so that Landskrona would become Europe’s leading meeting place for photography.

Landskrona Fotofestival is an annual photography festival in Landskrona, Sweden. Ten days of exhibitions, photo books,seminars, portfolio reviews, artist talks, and more. Since the start four years ago Landskrona Foto Festival has established its position as an international meeting place for photographers and those with an interest in photography. Renowned artists are exhibited alongside new, promising names and many of the pictures on display have never been shown in Sweden or Scandinavia before.
