For six years (2014-2020) Tel Aviv-based photographer and artist Iris Hassid followed the day to day life of four young Palestinian women, citizens of Israel, who are part of a recent surge of the young generation of Arab female students attending Tel Aviv University.
About the Artist
Iris Hassid lives and works in Tel Aviv. She started her photography career as a freelance photographer shooting for various Israeli publication magazines as well as private commercial companies. Hassid has a B.A. in Political Science from Tel Aviv University and studied at the Camera Obscura School of Art. She also holds an M.F.A from the University of Haifa. Iris grew up travelling and living in different parts of the world as a member of a family in the diplomatic service, an experience that has a great impact on her work today.
