Invisibles is a photobook which concentrates on the idea of visibility in photographs and recollection. By using censoring the viewer’s full impression of the photograph, Peschek encourages us to consider the insignificant elements of a picture and imagine what hides among the absence. Peschek experimented with the photograph as a tool for remembering elusive moments. As an origin she used mobile pictures that show rooms that are connected to personal stories. Pictures that show empty rooms captured in the moment after something happened. In a second layer Peschek collected movement scores of the human absent from those pictures through highlighting places where they have acted, emotionally or physically, with neoncoloured postits. In that way she enters the photograph as as an observer of her personal relation, that collects traces and leftovers, which would help Peschek to recreate the story that happened in those photographs.
